My Symphony Of Life – Episode# 7 5/29/11 – Interview With Dr. Nick Abraham of the Chiron Center for Wellness in Baton Rouge, LA and The Debut of Chef Sarah – Real Food With Attitude

On this episode we will review our local calendar for the Baton Rouge, La and surrounding areas.

Our featured guest on this show is Dr. Nick Abraham, he is Licensed Professional Counselor and in private practice at Chiron Center for Wellness in Baton Rouge, LA. The Center began in late November of 2010 and is oriented toward holistic wellness. He provides psychotherapy and psycho-education to couples, individuals and groups. He treats a wide range of clients, including those suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, relational conflicts and substance abuse. He continues to devote a large amount of his energy to assisting the under-served of our community, helping them find resources, learn life skills, develop better coping strategies and build self-reliance/initiative taking. Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Cole Slaw:For Pulled Pork:1 pork butt1 bottle bbq sauce1 large onion1 green bell pepper1/4 cup minced garlictony’s, pepper, to taste-Place pork but in crock pot. Sprinkle with seasonings and minced garlic. Julienne the onion and bell pepper and place over Pork Butt. Put bbq sauce over top. Cook on low heat overnight. When ready pull meat apart with fork. Should be very tender… Serve with rolls.Cole Slaw:5 cups green cabbage, shredded1 cup red cabbage, shredded1/2 cup shredded carrots2 cups mayo1/4 apple cider vinegar1 cup white sugarsalt and pepper to taste.Toss everything together until well blended.. Serve on top of the pulled pork.Perfect dish for Memorial Day!
